Couples-centered femtech platform designed for faster conception secures global trademark rights
Femtech startup Vespexx has announced the simultaneous filing of a trademark for its new femtech brand "Soonr Health" (수너 헬스) in both Korea and international markets.
The company filed the trademark with the Korean Intellectual Property Office and plans to secure rights in key global markets through the Madrid System — a move widely interpreted as the beginning of Vespexx's serious preparation for entry into the global femtech market.
The name Soonr is inspired by the word "sooner," carrying the meaning of "prepare for pregnancy sooner, and reach a healthy pregnancy sooner." The service is designed to help couples who have been putting off family planning — treating it as something to deal with "someday" — to start preparing earlier and more wisely, before difficulties arise.
Vespexx's existing Signaling app currently serves 670,000 couple users managing their everyday health information, with over 55% of those users in their late twenties to early thirties — precisely the demographic actively considering or preparing for pregnancy. Soonr Health is being developed as a specialized femtech service for this audience, with a planned launch focused on the U.S. market in 2026.
According to Vespexx's research, the "relational wellness" segment of the global vertical wellness market is expected to reach approximately 60 trillion KRW (roughly $44 billion USD) by 2026. While most femtech services target women exclusively, Soonr Health differentiates itself by being designed from the ground up for couples to use together — enabling both men and women to take an active role in preconception health.
As a subsidiary of KOSDAQ-listed Sugentech, Vespexx is developing Soonr Health as an integrated femtech solution that combines hardware (diagnostic devices) with software (AI app). Soonr Health is not simply an ovulation tracking app — it is being built as an AI-powered femtech platform that comprehensively analyzes couples' health data to recommend optimal conception timing and personalized health management strategies.
The simultaneous trademark filing in Korea and international markets signals Vespexx's clear intent to build Soonr Health as a global femtech brand from day one. Co-CEO Scarlett Joowon Jung stated: "As Korea's representative femtech company, we will bring a combination of biotechnology, IT, and AI to the global market — starting with the United States in 2026 — so that couples around the world can prepare for pregnancy in a healthier and smarter way through Soonr Health."
